Dear Members,
On behalf of the Charters Towers small business community Charters Towers Chamber of Commerce and Mines contacted both Mr. Robbie Katter and Ms. Phoebe Burgess (Regional Director North Queensland Region Department of Employment Small Business and Training) regarding the impending changes on the 17th December 2021.
Ms. Burgess went to great effort to contact the Secretary to discuss the issue and see how she could be of assistance to the Charters Towers business community. Ms. Burgess communicated to the Secretary that most government departments are restricted from being able to provide individual advice and can only really provide information. To this end the Charters Towers Chamber of Commerce and Mines has decided to:
Circulate the recording of the webinar conducted on the 6 December run by the Small Business Commissioner and Peter Maddock. Webinar Recording Link

Circulate Ms Burgess official response to our letter dated 3rd December 2021 (attached)
